About Our Gym Cleaning Company

Gym Cleaning Melbourne is a gym cleaning company that works only in fitness facilities, from round-the-clock franchise gyms and reformer studios to large health clubs and office-tower fitness rooms across metropolitan Melbourne. This page explains who we work for, how our crews are checked and trained, and what we will and will not claim. For the services themselves, start with our overview of gym cleaning across Melbourne.

Who we are

Who is behind this gym cleaning company?

We are a Melbourne gym cleaning company built around one kind of client: people who run fitness facilities. Our crews clean gyms, studios and clubs overnight or before opening, and every visit is written up with photos so owners can see the work without being there.

The business started from a simple observation. Gyms kept hiring office cleaners, and office cleaners kept treating gyms like offices. The floors went grey, the change rooms smelled by lunchtime, and owners spent their mornings fixing what had been missed overnight.

So we built a service the other way round, starting from what a gym actually needs: surface-matched floor care, a proper touchpoint list, change rooms done to drain depth, crews who can work safely around members at 3am, and reports that prove it.

As a gym cleaning company in Melbourne, we work across the metropolitan area, from single reformer studios to multi-zone clubs, and we would rather do fewer sites properly than stretch a crew across too many.

Our focus

Why do we only clean fitness facilities?

We only clean fitness facilities because gyms need different products, different hours and different habits from any other commercial site, and a crew that does nothing else gets very good at them. Specialising is how we keep standards high without cutting corners on price.

Kit knowledge

Crews learn which products are safe on consoles, vinyl and rubber, and which ones quietly ruin them. That knowledge only builds when every site is a gym.

Member hours

Working around people at 3am, keeping signage out and a dry route open, is routine for us rather than a special request.

Wet-area habits

Grout, drains and mould prevention are daily work in gyms. Our crews treat the change rooms as the most important room in the building.

Saying no to offices, schools and strata work keeps our crews, products and procedures tuned to one job. It also means we are honest about what is outside it: we do not clean pools or pool plant, exterior windows or anything that needs powered access.

Crew and training

How are our crews checked and trained?

Every crew member is police-checked before starting, then trained on gym-specific work: the colour-coded system, products for each surface, disinfectant contact times, access and alarm procedures, and how to work safely around members. New cleaners shadow an experienced lead before running a site.

Training is practical. A new cleaner learns on a real gym floor, with a lead showing them how a reformer is cleaned, why a console never gets sprayed, and where a floor waste hides hair.

Each site has a written guide with photos of the finished standard, so a cleaner covering a shift knows exactly what done looks like. Leads check new starters closely for their first weeks.

Crews carry identification, and your access log shows each cleaner by name. When someone leaves our team, their access to your site ends the same day.

Products and standards

Which products and hygiene standards do we follow?

We use disinfectants listed with the TGA for commercial use, picked because they are gentle on gym equipment, and apply them for the contact time on the label. Cloths are colour-coded by zone, products are never mixed, and a safety data sheet for every product comes with your scope.

Our product list is short on purpose. Fewer products means fewer mistakes, and every one of them has been chosen because it works on gym surfaces without damaging them.

We keep our claims plain. We do not publish kill-rate percentages, we do not fog rooms for effect, and we do not call anything hospital grade unless its listing says so.

The standard we work to, and the reasoning behind it, is set out in full in our gym hygiene standards guide.

What we will not do

  • Publish member praise we cannot back up
  • Quote kill rates or name germs to scare you
  • Fog or spray fragrance to hide a smell
  • Imply links to franchise brands we cannot name
  • Take on pool plant or exterior high glass

Compliance

What insurance and compliance do we carry?

We carry public liability insurance and WorkCover, operate under a registered ABN, and follow written safe work procedures for chemicals, machines and night work. Certificates and procedures are supplied with every quote, so you can check them before we set foot on site.

Public liability

Certificate of currency supplied with your quote and on renewal each year.

WorkCover

Our crews are covered as our employees under Victoria's workplace insurance scheme.

Safe work procedures

Written procedures for products, machines, lone-work avoidance and night access.

Safety data sheets

One for every product we bring on site, kept with your scope and updated when products change.

Larger operators often need more: inductions, contractor portals, specific insurance wording or a copy of our procedures for their own records. Ask, and it will be with you before the first shift.

Next step

How do you get a quote from us?

Send your facility type, floor area, change rooms and access hours through our quote form. You will get a fixed, itemised price in writing, with our insurance certificate and product list attached, and larger sites get a walk-through before anything is signed.

The best way to judge any cleaning company is to ask for its documents and a sample report before you sign. We would rather be checked than trusted blindly.

FAQ

What do owners ask about us?

Direct answers to the trust questions owners should ask any contractor.

Are crews police-checked?
Yes. Every crew member has a police check before their first shift, and nobody works on a client site without one. If your site or head office requires a particular type of check, tell us at the quote stage and it will be arranged.
Are you insured?
Yes. We hold public liability insurance and WorkCover for our crews, and a certificate of currency comes with every quote and again at each renewal. If your lease or head office needs specific wording on the certificate, we can arrange it.
Do you subcontract the cleaning?
No. The people cleaning your site work for us and follow our procedures. If a job ever needs a specialist trade, such as a plumber for a blocked pipe or a window cleaner for exterior glass, we tell you first and you decide who to use.

Specialists in one thing. Clean gyms, checked every visit.
